Honest Service
If it seems that everything in the world is negative, let us tell you about a company you might want to call - Air Specialties. It started with a new furnace we had installed in June to avoid winter complications. Something happened to the new furnace in October, and Air Specialties replaced the whole thing for free. Last week the serviceman came for a biannual service call. The next day the fan on the air conditioning unit wouldn't work.
The same serviceman, Steve, came back and went under the crawl space for a look. He very apologetically explained, ''I'm very sorry, but overspray from the product I used to clean the coils shorted out your motor and caused it to burn up. It was my fault. I'll order the parts and we'll fix it tomorrow." His honesty and humility were inspiring. Thank you, Air Specialties.

I just wanted to thank you again for your recommendation last December to install the XR15 high effifiency system. I have seen very positive results, especially during this past June and July during which the daily high was frequently around 100 degrees. I have a 2600 sq ft home and keep the thermostat at 79 degrees. I averaged 24-28 kilowatts per day, less than $80 per month. What an improvement over my earlier system.

Tom, your duct replacement crew (Bryant & Brett) just left and what a super Job. They started when they said they would, kept a clean work site and worked steady. They were very courteous and respectful to my wife and in general conducted themselves very professionally.
I would also like to Pass along a shout out to Steve, our regular service tech. During our last semi-annual inspection, Steve noticed problems with our duct work and brought them to mv attention.
All three are an asset to your company.

I think I mentioned that a friend recommended Air Specialties. Now I know why. My new equipment was scheduled to be installed on Thursday. Even though light rain was falling, your crew showed up and went to work. Robert, David, Brian and a fourth man whose name I did not get worked steadily and finished up in late afternoon. Shortly after they left, your technician, Aaron arrived and had everything up and running in just a few minutes. Everyone was professional and friendly.
Today, I got the warranty material in the mail. Thanks to Pamela for that and for preparing the Progress Energy paperwork. I am impressed with this kind of service and would appreciate your letting everyone know. I shouldn't forget to mention your proposal which was just as well done. It's nice to be warm again.

Thank you very much for sending Dennis out to look at my heat pump this past week. As you may recall, I had my HVAC guy come out to my house last week to look at my heat pump which was not operating properly. I want to point out that this company has been handling my needs for over 10 years, and I had developed a sense of trust with the individual and his company. He quickly assesed the problem being the heat pump was totally out of Freon. He then went on to tell me I was looking at between $1,600 - $ 1,800 dollars to trace the leak, replace the coil and get the unit operating properly. Still, by replacing the coil on the unit the warranty would be one year.
His next move was to get me a quote on a new unit which was $3,200. As most consumers would be, I was in sticker shock and told him I needed to think about my next move. I decided to get a second opinion before I made that type of commitment and I called Greg Tillman at Air Specialties. Greg sent Dennis out to take a look at theunit, and he quickly discovered that the unit did in fact have Freon and simply needed to be serviced.
A second appointment was made and Dennis came back to service both heat pumps at my house. I stood there and watched what Dennis did to service the unit and was amazed to see what was involved in servicing a heat pump and how important this routine service is to any unit. I quickly became a beleiver in preventative maintenance on heat pumps and plan to have Dennis perform any work that needs to be done to my units to keep them operating at their best year round.
The money I paid to service these units was money well spent and a fraction of the cost of replacing a unit that didn't need to be replaced. A word to the wise in these tough economic times, should your HVAC contractor tell you your unit is shot and try to sell you a new unit, get a second opinion. I also encourage every home owner who has a heat pump to call Air Specialties and arrange for one of their texhs to service your unit and arrange to have your units and arrange the have your units routinely maintained by Air Specialties.

We would like to share our experience with you and the staff at Air Specialties. You of course, were the first one we met and you did an excellent job in helping us decide on a unit that was right for us. You gave us options and we were able to get the right fit. We so appreciated your willingness to negotiate, and the rebates we received were so awesome.
Lori, who usually answers the phone has a very nice and professional voice. She always responded to our requests on a timely manner. Pam who helped with the rebate issues was kind and timely as well. You have outstanding technicians and installers. They were all polite, courteous and respectful of us. They worked very hard and late to get the job done on time. It was Thanksgiving and they got it done just in time to enjoy the turkey so we could. They kept everything very clean and neat and did not leave a mess of any kind. All old stuff was removed and cleaned up very nicely.
We love our new system. It is so very energy efficient. Lennox is an outstanding system. We feel we definitely made the right choice. We love the air filter that was added as well. The air feels so clean and fresh. We look forward to many years of service from our new system and from you all.
